A quiet space for considered living
Our studio sits in a quiet corner of West Nhlanhla, a short walk from the main shopping street. If you are coming by car, there is parking behind the building. For those using public transport, the number 12 and 18 buses stop two blocks away.
The space is open for browsing by appointment, which lets us give each visitor proper attention. When you arrive, ring the bell at the side door and someone will let you in.

Look for the cream facade with the charcoal awning. The entrance is on the side street, next to the tailor's workshop.
Take the N4 towards West Nhlanhla and exit at Babalwa Summit. Follow the road for about 2 km until you see the pharmacy on your left. Turn right just after it.
The 12 and 18 routes stop at the corner of Babalwa and Summit. From there it is a three-minute walk. The last bus back to the city leaves at 18:40.
Local taxis drop passengers at the market square. Ask the driver for the fabric district and they will know the stop. The studio is a short walk uphill.
If you are coming from the library, head east along Summit Road. Cross at the pedestrian lights and continue until you see the cream building with the charcoal awning.
For questions about an order, a fitting, or to schedule a visit, the quickest way is a phone call during studio hours. If you prefer writing, email works well and we usually reply within one working day.

Studio hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 17:00. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays for stocktaking and rest.
Whether you want to try on a dress in person, ask about a fabric care routine, or discuss a custom order with one of our local makers, we are easy to reach. The studio is open most weekdays, and we answer every message within two working days.
If you are planning a visit, it helps to call ahead so we can set aside pieces from the current rotation for you. For questions about sizing, garment measurements, or the designers we stock, email works best.

The studio is on the ground floor, behind the courtyard. Look for the cream awning with the Willow & Nyx sign.
Call between 9:00 and 16:00 on weekdays. If we miss you, leave a message with your name and number and we will return the call.
For order updates, include your order number in the subject line. For press or collaboration enquiries, mention that in the first line.
Public holiday hours may differ. Check the blog before travelling.
Emails are read by a person, not a bot. You will get a reply within two working days with a straight answer, whether that is a fabric care tip, a size recommendation, or a note that a particular piece has sold out. Phone messages are checked at the end of each day, so expect a callback the next morning.
We work with a small circle of South African makers, textile suppliers, and stylists who share our view on durable clothing. If you produce small-batch womenswear, run a fabric care workshop, or offer fitting services in Johannesburg or Cape Town, tell us about your work.
