Garment measurements are taken flat and listed in centimeters on each product page. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up for woven fabrics and down for knits, since natural fibers tend to relax with wear. Our stylist can also advise on adjustments for petite or tall frames before you order.
When we say "gentle wash," we mean a cold machine cycle inside a mesh bag, or hand washing in lukewarm water. "Dry clean recommended" is stated only for pieces with structured linings or delicate trims. Every item includes a care label, and we explain the reasoning behind each instruction in the product notes.
Our rotation is limited by design. Each style is produced in a single run with a local workshop, and once a size sells out, we do not automatically restock the same colorway. If a piece is marked "final run," it means the fabric was sourced in a limited quantity and the pattern will not return in that exact form.
Natural dyes and handwoven textiles can vary slightly between batches. We photograph every piece in natural light, but your screen may render tones a little differently. This variation is not a defect; it is the signature of a garment made by hand rather than mass-produced.
You have seven days from delivery to request a return or exchange, provided the garment is unworn, unwashed, and has its original tags attached. Each style is produced in limited runs with our partner workshops in Johannesburg and Cape Town. When a piece is marked as available, it means it is ready to ship from our studio. If an item is listed as “pre-order,” we share the expected production timeline on the product page, and we keep you updated by email once your garment enters the sewing queue.

We do not push a uniform formula. You receive a personalized list of recommended pieces from our current rotation, along with fabric and fit notes, so you can decide what genuinely belongs in your closet.
Yes. Because we work closely with local seamstresses, we can arrange minor alterations on most dresses and knitwear before dispatch. Common adjustments include taking in a waist, shortening a hem, or adjusting a shoulder seam. Send us a note with your measurements after placing an order, and we will confirm whether the style can be altered and the expected turnaround time.
Most of our garments are made from cotton, linen, or wool blends. For everyday care, we recommend washing on a gentle cycle in cold water and laying flat to dry. We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for unworn items with original tags attached. Because our runs are small, we cannot always guarantee an exact exchange, but we will help you find a similar style or issue a store credit. Orders within South Africa typically arrive within 3 to 5 business days via courier. We send a tracking link as soon as your parcel leaves our studio. For international orders, shipping times vary by destination, and we calculate the cost at checkout based on weight and location.
